  1. If you are a potential applicant, your home university must FIRST nominate you and then complete the scholarship application form.
  2. Carefully review and upload the required supporting documents (found in the Application process tab) via the application form. Non-compliant documents result in an automatic application rejection.

Students applying for a course-exchange must arrive at the beginning of each term according to Ontario Tech's academic calendar. A failure to arrive within the required timelines may result in the cancellation of your scholarship.

  • Fall term arrival: Arrive between August 1 and the term’s start date.
  • Winter term arrival: Arrive at the term’s start date, early January.
  • Research students: Must begin and end between August 1, 2026 and March 1, 2027.
  • Helpful tip: Ensure your passport is updated and review the immigration processing times to determine your start date.

Applicants must submit the appropriate Ontario Tech University application at the same time as their scholarship application.

Please follow the application pathway that matches your student status:

Once your Ontario Tech application has been submitted, it will be placed on hold while a scholarship decision is made by Global Affairs.

If your scholarship application is unsuccessful and you still wish to study at Ontario Tech, you must notify the International Office when submitting your application.

Please note that admission to an exchange program does not guarantee selection for the scholarship.

The Ontario Tech International Office conducts an initial screening of all applications. Applicants are responsible for reviewing the scholarship guidelines and submitting all required documents.

Selection Results

Applicants will be notified by email once a decision has been made. Decisions are typically released by the end of May.
