Name: Annlita  Faculty: Business and Information Technology Year of study: 2nd Fun Fact: I'm Indian, but I was born and raised in Oman. So, you could say I'm spicy with an Arabian twist!🤭 Reason you become an ISL: As an international student, I empathize with the challenges faced by my fellow students. My goal is to enhance university support for current and incoming international students by utilizing my experiences and knowledge. So, I'll be here as a leader, as a friend and as a sister whenever you need!

Name: Dilothi Faculty: Health Sciences Year of study: 3rd Fun Fact: I love pasta! Reason you become an ISL: I chose to become an ISL because I can understand how tough it may be to move across to a whole new country away from your family and friends. Throughout this difficult journey I wanted to be someone who could support them and make them feel at home during their time at Ontario Tech.

Reason you become an ISL: As an international student, I aspire to assist future international students in smoothly transitioning to university life in a new country by providing them with nourishing experiences and guidance.
Name: Shefali Faculty: Social Science and Humanities Year of study: 4th Fun Fact: I am a fan of Stan Lee's work and Marvel movies. Reason you become an ISL: I became an ISL to help support incoming international students. I understand challenges that exist for international students and hope to tell them things that I wish I knew when I started university.
Name: Jahanvi Faculty: Science Year of study: 3rd Fun Fact: I went on a 25 day trip with my family without planning anything. During that trip, we travelled to 4 countries and around 28 cities without staying in a hotel for most of the days. Reason you become an ISL: I became an ISL so that I can help international students in settling in a new country by sharing my experiences with them.
Name: Maisha Faculty: Engineering and Applied Science Year of study: 2nd Fun Fact: I am a certified dancer in four different dance forms Reason you become an ISL: In my first year, I had an amazing ISL who guided and bonded with me. I became an ISL eager to help new students experience similar bonds like this and create wonderful experiences for them.
Name: Zainab Faculty: Science Year of study: 3rd Fun Fact: I can fluently speak Urdu, and am able to understand, but not speak punjabi Reason you become an ISL: I have seen many people, including my own parents go to the struggle of being students from another country, although they counted as domestic students since they had been living in Canada for so long. So, I want to help people become accustomed to this culture while helping them bring their culture to diversify Canada.
