Summer and other short-term exchange programs
Ontario Tech University has many opportunities for students who are interested in gaining an international learning experience.
Depending on the short-term exchange program and type of partnership with Ontario Tech, some exchanges are not-for-credit and you must apply to the host institution directly. If an exchange program is for-credit, students must follow all steps listed on the Outbound Exchange page.
Regardless of the exchange program, all students going on international mobility programs—exchange, summer program, internship, research, conference, etc.—are required to complete the pre-departure form and attend a pre-departure session before they leave. Turku Åbo Summer School
International Days in Social Work – IDSW 2026
Dates: June 15 to 19
A week full of workshops, site visits to social organizations and various cultural activities. This event is for social work and related programs only.
Participation Fee:
- International Days – June 16 to 19 – 75 Euro/student and 95 Euro/lecturer.
The fee will cover costs such as welcome and farewell lunch/dinner, weekly-pass for public transport Linz, etc.
Optional cultural trip to Ice Caves & Hallstatt – June 15 –55 Euro/student and 75 Euro/lecturer.
Travel costs, costs for lodging and meals (apart of the welcome and farewell dinner) are to be covered by the participants individually.
Costs for participants joining us as BIP-partners or coming from non-partnering organisations, please request by e-mail.

12th International Summer Academy in Engineering for Women (ISAE4W)
Dates: July 13 to 28
Target group: undergraduate female students in Engineering (18 to 25 years)
What is this about? Intensive, two-and-a-half-week program combines theory with hands-on practical experience in engineering and natural sciences. In addition to knowledge transfer in these fields, social, cross-cultural and gender aspects are covered and discussed during lectures and workshops.
Venue: University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, School of Engineering (Wels Campus) with selected workshops off campus
Costs: € 970 - include tuition fees, room for the entire stay, meals on weekdays (weekends are free for individual activities), numerous excursions.
Application deadline: March 15
Email isae4w@fh-ooe.at directly to receive a personalized registration link to the online application portal. Applicants will be notified about a decision by early April.

Frankfurt Summer Universities
Students can take courses in subjects such as:
- Legal Tech
- Designing Urban Open Fabric of the New Era
- Intercultural Communication Competence (Hessen:ISU)
- Sustainable Aviation Management (Hessen:ISU)
- German Language and Culture (offered online and available in combination with one of the above academic courses)
All our summer programs are worth ECTS points. The programs are designed for international students and taught entirely in English.
Frankfurt Summer Universities also offers fun extracurricular activities for students to participate in, as well as field trips to political, financial, and architectural sites. The city is our classroom!

Pécs Summer School 2026
Two-week programs | July 4 to 18 | 6 ECTS credits each | €1,050–€1,450
- European Studies Summer School (1,050 EUR)
Explore the political, cultural, and social achievements of Europe through engaging lectures on art, gastronomy, migration, and diversity. - Leadership Skills Summer School (1,050 EUR)
Develop essential leadership, communication, and teamwork skills to become an effective and confident leader. - Sustainability – Social Ecology (1,050 EUR)
Combine theory and practice as you engage with local NGOs on sustainability and inclusion projects. - International Human Rights Law (1,450 EUR)
Gain insight into major international human rights issues, EU human rights law, and humanitarian protection.
(Open to Law students.) - Debate Academy (July 19 to August 2, 1,050 EUR)
Strengthen your critical thinking and public speaking in this hands-on, international debate program.
Four-week Combined Programs | July 5 to August 2
Combine any of the above with the Debate Academy for a four-week experience and double your learning and intercultural exposure:

Linköping University Summer Academy 2026
Dates: June 26 to July 25 (including arrival and departure days).
This four-week credit-bearing programme gives international students an opportunity to study abroad in one of Sweden’s fastest growing cities, Linköping. With its innovative university and great student activities you will have the best experience of your life!

TUITION
• For Ontario Tech students the Summer Academy is tuition-free. Alongside lectures and coursework, a variety of social activities and a fun program will be offered, organized by our student hosts.
HOUSING TUITION
• Fully furnished single rooms will be provided for a total cost of SEK 7,200 (estimated $CAD 1,070.71). [currency converter]. It will include a private bathroom, new bed linen and towels, shared kitchen access, final exit cleaning, and a regional bus pass.
